The race to speed up the development of new drugs and get them to market
quickly continues to be the focus of many pharmaceutical companies. High throughput
screening, combinatorial chemistry and LC-MS have become key technologies for increasing
the speed with which new drug compounds can be identified and developed for market
release. The HTS PAL is designed to meet these new requirements in terms of speed, capacity and precision in chromatography "Front End" automation. The HTS PAL represents the only sample injection system which has been especially designed for high throughput applications. Besides Micro and Deepwell plates the HTS PAL handles standard vials and tubes from which samples can be injected directly into a LC valve. It fits into the chain of Combinatorial Chemistry/HTS screening/Preclinical Research applications where large numbers of samples have to be characterized. Throughput is extremely high since recovery time between injections is reduced to a minimum of < 30 seconds. For the protection of thermo labile samples various Tray- and Microplate cooling options are available. The PAL System software architecture supports the "Open Access" technology wherein the HTS PAL is always ready to accept new samples for processing at a later time. |
