In order to develop the skills of our employees and keep them up to date, we continuously invest in training and further education. We support the training of young talents with trial apprenticeships and apprenticeships in electronics, IT, construction and with internships.

Are you curious, motivated, like technology and scientific topics and are you interested in the versatile and exciting fields of mechatronics (mechanics, electronics and software)?

Then we can offer you exciting and challenging apprenticeships with us! According to demand, we fill one apprenticeship position each as a engineer EFZ, electronics technican EFZ and computer scientist EFZ, specializing in application development. Which professions can you learn with us?

Design engineer EFZ

Do you want to work with 3D software? Do you want to work with engineers to turn ideas into products for everyday use? As an EFZ design engineer, you will develop individual parts and assemblies for our robots using state-of-the-art 3D software. You will carry out entire projects or parts of projects. Ordering purchased parts (e.g. electric motors, valves, gears, etc.), creating parts lists or operating instructions are also part of your job. We are also happy to support you in your apprenticeship as an EFZ design engineer with the vocational baccalaureate.

Electronics Technician EFZ

Do you want to build electronic hardware? Do you want to develop new solutions as part of a team? As an electronics technician, you work with your team to ensure that the electronic hardware and software works. This includes planning, developing, programming and manufacturing to order. You will also carry out measuring, testing and maintenance work as well as commissioning. During your apprenticeship as an EFZ electronics technician, we will also be happy to support you in obtaining your vocational baccalaureate.

Computer Scientist EFZ

Do you want to program? Develop applications and find creative solutions for the complex demands of customers? As a computer scientist specializing in application development, you will program software for various applications for our robots. You will work in a team with our software developers. We will be happy to support you during your apprenticeship as an EFZ computer scientist specializing in application development, including the vocational baccalaureate that accompanies your apprenticeship.

What does an apprenticeship look like with us?

Our apprentice Salome tells you

"I would do the training again, despite some turbulences such as Corona, change of class, change of responsibility, etc. I always felt comfortable in the team and was able to develop socially very well. I always felt comfortable in the team and was able to develop socially very well as a result. I was allowed to acquire new knowledge from colleagues in different departments over the years. But it wasn't only in the CTC company that I was able to expand my knowledge. At the end of the first year of my apprenticeship, I was given the opportunity to do a three-week language exchange at Humard Automation SA. Un grand merci à tous. In the second year of my apprenticeship, I worked in production at Mechtec AG and then in assembly at Hans Kurt AG. This gave me an insight into the longstanding suppliers and enabled me to get a better understanding of CTC's products. A big thank you to everyone who took the time for me during the four years.

During my apprenticeship, I was also able to pass on my knowledge to others - whether to apprentices from Humard Auomation SA, apprentices from the CTC or even children on Future Day. During the four years there were also many team events, which made the company bond and which I will remember positively. Among them there were May Stroll, Christmas dinner, ice hockey tournaments, Martini sausage dinner, etc. These events gave me the opportunity to talk to suppliers and CTC colleagues in other ways without having the daily work routine around me."
